Position Overview: The Printer Hardware Manager is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, deployment, and troubleshooting of all organizational printer hardware. This role ensures the operational readiness and security of all printing devices and supports integration with network systems in accordance with Army standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee installation, maintenance, and performance of all printer hardware devices.
Coordinate repairs, replacements, and vendor service agreements as necessary.
Develop and enforce printer management and usage policies.
Maintain and track printer inventory to ensure availability and efficiency.
Conduct internal audits and review corrective action plans as needed.
Train staff and end-users on proper printer usage and management protocols.
Collaborate with IT teams to integrate printers with network infrastructure.
Monitor printer usage, address security vulnerabilities, and ensure compliance with Army standards.
Support property book management and ensure accurate documentation of equipment.
Lead or participate in process improvement teams for printer operations and support workflows.
Assist with development and testing procedures for printer system requirements and improvements.
Negotiate service contracts and supplier agreements as required.
Required Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 5 years in IT hardware or operations support, with emphasis on peripheral device management
Education: Bachelor’s degree
Certifications (Required):
Must meet DoD 8750 and 8140 compliance requirements
